Advantages :
  • Beam Stability  The laser beam is quite sensitive for changes, depending on laser and room temperature. A little change in the beam position dramatically misaligns the optics in the conventional mirror based Raman Spectrometer because of the large coupling focal length (> 1 meter). Our optical fiber based STR series Raman Spectrometer coupling focal length is < 10mm as compared to > 1meter for mirror-based transfer, which means the laser beam stability in our STR series Raman Spectrometer is much more (~ 100-times) stable than in mirror based Raman Spectrometer.
  • Optical Bench and Room Light Rejection - Raman with Mirror needs vibration free optical bench as base, to be covered in order to reject the room light and auto alignment whereas our STR series Raman Spectrometer works very stably on any kind of Table, is quite compact, doesn't need any cover for room light rejection and any auto alignment.
  • Lossless transmission with 99.3% transmittance for VIS - NIR & 93% transmittance for UV.
  • Polarization maintained Fibers for Polarized Raman measurements.
  • Modular Approach configuration gives easy access and low maintenance (special module units are: CCD, Spectrograph, lasers, microscope).
  • Additional Capabilities of STR  The fiber optics and modular approach help us giving additional capabilities and/or upgradability to our Raman Spectrometer. Any STR stand-alone Raman Spectrometer is not only capable of carrying out Photo-Luminescence (PL) spectroscopy but also optical emission spectroscopy (OES). Besides, any STR system can be upgraded quite easily to any extent any time in the future from expansion of laser sources, integration with Diamond Anvil Cell (for high pressure Raman studies), remote Raman probe, etc.
